C1S wet strength label paper is a specialized label material with one side coated. During the production process of the base paper, wet strength agents are added or latex impregnation treatment is carried out, which endows the paper with excellent water resistance while maintaining high printability after one-side coating.Its core structure is as follows: the front side is a coating layer (high gloss or semi-gloss) that provides excellent printing effects; the back side retains the original paper characteristics, facilitating sizing or adhesive coating processing. C1S paper is coated with one or multiple layers of coatings on one side of the base paper to achieve the optimal performance required for the target application.

Wet strength performance

Paper can maintain high strength even when immersed in water or in a humid environment, exhibiting resistance to moisture and water, and being less prone to tearing. Some products can achieve a wet longitudinal strength of ≥15 N/15mm and a wet transverse strength of ≥10 N/15mm. This type of paper can withstand environmental factors such as moisture, heat, and low temperatures, ensuring that the label design and the label itself are not damaged.

Coating and printability

Coated on one side (C1S) provides the paper with a high-gloss or semi-gloss surface, boasting high smoothness. It is suitable for various printing methods such as offset printing, flexo printing, gravure printing, and HP Indigo digital printing. The coated surface exhibits excellent ink adhesion, ensuring that the printed paper remains flat with no curling at the edges.

Visual quality

C1S wet-strength label paper typically features a high-whiteness or bluish-white hue, with a whiteness level generally ranging from 85% to 89% (ISO Brightness), a glossiness of approximately 65% to 71% (measured at a 75° angle), and an opacity level of about 85% to 89%. It exhibits strong visual appeal.
